Autumn

Autumn
Cascade Valley MetroPark, Akron Ohio

We have been blessed this year, as we have actually had a proper Autumn. The last couple of years it seems that we went straight from Summer to Winter, but this year we had a few great weeks of perfect Autumn weather and the trees definitely were magnificent!  (well right up until Superstorm Sandy blew them off.)   Thankfully, I had finally managed to make some time to go out and photograph the leaves about a week or so before the winds and rain came in….This photograph was taken on the Cuyahoga River, just Northeast of the Gorge.  The colors really were spectacular this year!

And of course, photography being such an integral part of me, I also had to go out in the rain on the day that Sandy was hitting Ohio and take some photographs as well….the river was insanely high and fast moving but the landscape was still beautiful!

Into the depths I go.....as a photographer and an artist, i feel that it is my job to get to know my subjects to the core...it is only then that I can bring out their soul....
